My name is Mrs. Cornelissen also known as “Mrs. Corn” and this is my 32nd year of teaching—22 of those years being at Simmons Middle School. I have a B.A. in English with a Secondary degree in Education, a M.A. in Administrative Leadership, and am currently working towards another graduate degree because continued learning makes for a good role model. 🙂 I am married with two wonderful pups, named Ruby & Sadie. I have always had a passion for reading and writing and it is of the utmost importance to me to prepare my students for High School and their life long learning ahead!

Class Expectations:  Students are expected to come ready to learn bringing with them daily, a 3 ring 2 inch binder, 2 spiral notebooks for LA & LA LAB only, an assignment notebook, pencils/pens, a book to silently read and a positive attitude.
