Students of the MonthStudents of the Month

  • Salvador Hernandez , Salvador is a reliable individual that can be counted on to be here and engaged in all his classes. Salvador is able to provide insightful observations in class discussion And in his written work. With those skills and his positive outlook in class, he has all he needs to be successful in life!
  • Betzaida Montenegro, Betzaida has earned student of the month because of her strong leadership skills. She is always willing to help others and is dedicated to her success in school. She demands perfection from herself and always carries a positive attitude. Since the first day of school it was clear she was destined for greatness and there is no doubt it will continue on through the years. We are all proud of you for your achievements and are excited about your bright future ahead.
  • Crystal Fabela is an avid reader, a fantastic writer and the kind of student who is quietly on task. She is perceptive and willing to help any student. I can count on her to provide examples and to be have her work done. But more than that Crystal always takes the high road and is kind, perceptive and works well with everyone.
  • Dahelmy Gutierrez , Dahelmy is a student who always comes to school ready to learn. She completes her homework and tries her hardest at every academic task. In addition to being a great student, Dahemly is a great person. She is very truthful, but in a kind way. She has a great sense of humor that can make anyone smile. Dahemly is a student who makes Simmons a more enjoyable place for all.
  • Eybi Maldanado , Eybi is a student of the month, because he is kind and thoughtful toward others. He makes jokes in class and is always attentive to the focus of the class. But Eybi is also extremely creative, writing and producing animations outside of school. He makes our school community more diverse and certainly more caring.

  • Alondra Navarro , Alondra is a student who works hard, and always strives to do her best. She challenges herself and sets goals that she can attain. Aside from her academic success, Alondra is also kind and helpful to both peers and teachers. Alondra, your desire to be a good person and your dedication to being successful will take you far in life.

May Student of the month GroupEach month Simmons Middle School’s Team 7B chooses five students to be recognized and celebrated for great character; being compassionate and encouraging, hardworking and motivated, determined and ambitious, and caring and generous.

Teachers nominate students on our team that demonstrate such characteristics, and at the end of the month, teachers choose five students that stand out the most.

Students selected for Students of the Month are announced over the P.A. each day along with why they were chosen. At the end of the week students are celebrated at a luncheon with their teachers, counselor and our administration.

Here are the students being celebrated for the month of May.
